Endurance sport places unique demands on the body. Long distances, repeated efforts, and accumulated fatigue expose weaknesses over time. Strength, stability, and control become just as important as aerobic fitness. For many athletes, these qualities are the limiting factor.
This training is designed for athletes who train and compete over distance such as fell runners, ultra runners and cyclists. Climbing, descending, uneven ground or long hours in the saddle all place stress on the body. The ability to keep moving well, even when tired, is what makes the difference.
Training sessions combine indoor rowing, kettlebells and other complementary modalities where appropriate. We focus on strength, stability and control. We develop the hips, legs, and core to handle load and maintain posture. For runners, this means dealing with impact, terrain, and fatigue. For cyclists, it means producing power efficiently while maintaining position over long periods. We also build balance and coordination, helping you stay controlled on uneven ground or stable under load.
Rowing provides a low-impact way to build aerobic capacity and accumulate training volume. It is particularly useful for cyclists and runners looking to add volume without additional impact.
Kettlebells develop strength, control, and connection through the hips, core and shoulders.
In addition, we may include balance training, ski erg, or targeted strength exercises, depending on the needs of the athlete.
The aim is to support your primary sport, not compete with it.
Sessions are coached and adapted to the individual. If you are new to strength and conditioning, you will build a solid foundation. If you are experienced, you will train with greater intent and specificity.
If your sport demands endurance, your training should support it. Come and experience a session designed to help you stay strong, stable, and consistent over the long term.
