Kettlebell training is one of the most effective ways to build strength. It develops the hips, legs, trunk and shoulders through a small number of fundamental movement patterns. At RowStrong, our kettlebell training is based on the StrongFirst training methodology. StrongFirst takes a disciplined approach to strength. The focus is on mastering the fundamentals and progressing them over time.
Kettlebell training centres around a few key patterns: Hip Hinges, Squats, Presses
and Carries - movements that develop strength in a way that complements rowing perfectly.
Stronger legs and hips improve the drive. A stronger trunk improves connection. Better shoulder stability supports a cleaner, more efficient stroke. Kettlebell training helps every part of the rowing stroke.
Strength where it matters - Legs, hips, core, and shoulders working together.
Transfer to rowing and other sports - What you build in training shows up in performance.
Resilience - Stronger joints, better movement, fewer weak links.
Simplicity - No unnecessary complexity. Just effective training.
RowStrong sessions combine rowing and kettlebell training. You move between the Concept2 rower and the kettlebell, building aerobic fitness and strength within the same session. The structure is simple and consistent. The focus is on doing the basics well. Progress comes from showing up and training regularly.
Strength training doesn’t need to be complicated to be effective. Come and experience how kettlebell training and rowing work together.
